Best Debit Card Programme UK & Ireland 2017

Once again, Loyalty Consulting UK were involved in the Cards & Payments awards, a prestigious event that celebrates excellence in the cards and payments industry. Mark Bergdahl, Managing Director of LCUK, was one of the judges and presented the award for best Debit Card 2017 at the glittering awards ceremony held in February at the Grosvenor Park Hotel in London. The winner this year was Royal Bank of Scotland for their MyRewards Programme. Bergdahl commented, “a strong category as ever with the Permanent TSB picking up a commendation for their entry. This was a tough category to judge this year. RBS ticked all the boxes with a programme that is increasingly under pressure from structural challenges by regulators. RBS offer the consumer a great deal with real differentiation.”
The Card & Payments Awards are open across the different categories to credit, debit, prepaid and charge card issuers, co-brands, merchant acquirers and other payments companies in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Retailers are eligible to enter payments related products and services into the Awards. There is a range of categories covering key disciplines and offering organisations the opportunity to showcase achievements. Success at the Awards can be used to enhance consumer facing communications. Loyalty Consulting UK have been involved with these award for the past 5 years through Mark’s membership of the judging panel.
